The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health responsible for the management and operation of Public Health Services within the Parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth. The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:
SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR –SRHA-Regional Office
Reporting to the Director, Management Information System the incumbent will be responsible for the installation and management of all systems including PC/Server networks. Functions also include the responsibility for the general systems administration within the Regional Authority and its environs.
Specific Knowledge Required:
- Familiarity with LAN/WAN/Internet Technology
- Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments and administrative techniques
- Working knowledge of network implementation & techniques
- General UNIX/Linux environment knowledge
- Troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of at least one programming language
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
- Training in the configuration & management of networks
- Three (2) years experience in Systems Administration
