THE SCU INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANALYST WILL:-
Manage the ongoing development, implementation, administration, and maintenance of the Learning Management System (LMS) and Student Management System (SMS) and other databases and systems that support the goals and objectives of the Training and Development Department.
Be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of training solutions that facilitate the use of the abovementioned systems by secondary administrators and students.
Be responsible for the management and administration of the digital grading/analysis system (Scantron) of examinations/surveys and the approval and issuance of certificates.
Work closely with SCU Head Office Team, Resorts/Properties Training Managers and other relevant stakeholders to contribute to the development of courses, programs, and management systems that are in keeping with SCU’s goals and objectives
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support inter-departmental integration by ensuring that the LMS, SMS and SCANTRON content is coherent and consistent with exiting tools, policies, and initiatives.
- Develop and implement training programmes for LMS, SMS and SCANTRON users, ensuring adequate user knowledge of system.
- Perform all system administration tasks, which include but are not limited to, updating users and their profiles. Ensure accuracy in creating courses and catalogues, updating course content and creating reports.
- Lead and manage the implementation of LMS, SMS and SCANTRON projects.
- Create and update documentations such as flow charts, procedures and guidelines, training material, and user manuals relevant to the LMS, SMS and SCANTRON.
- Work closely with the Principal/Vice Principal, Group Operations Manager, and Information Systems Division to prioritize projects, review the status of projects, provide hindsight learning from completed projects, and reports on LMS, SMS and SCANTRON related results.
- Assist in the assessment of and the adaptation of a wide variety of e-learning tools.
- Support the drafting of learning and training plans.
- Test, install, configure, and troubleshoot a variety of applications to support an enhanced online environment.
- Maintain curriculum repositories in electronic formats and ensure information is secure.
- Manage the LMS, SMS and SCANTRON backup process to resume work instantly in case of technical problems.
- Development and implement Quality Management Systems.
- Recommend and implement changes in work procedures/strategies and organizational structure to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain and update the Sandals Corporate University Intranet portal.
- Conduct Training
- Provide statistical reports and develop and analyze tools i.e. Productivity Chart
- Manage the administrative functions of Assessment for Certification
- Ensure quality delivery of services; the accuracy, confidentiality and quality of data; and the integrity of the Assessment and Certification processes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, or in a related discipline
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
- Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCIP)
- Certified Information Security Administrator (CISA)
- Control Objectives for IT (COBit)
- Comptia Security+
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- At least three (3) years performing a similar function in an enterprise environment.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, SharePoint, Forefront Server and Microsoft Exchange
- Implementation and maintaining of common Database platforms such as MS SQL server and MySQL
- Experience with system monitoring tools such as Solar Winds Network Monitor or Paessler PRTG monitor
- Extensive experience with Learning and Student Management systems (LMS & SMS)
- Experience with digital grading systems
- Experience in planning and implementing systems to achieve high availability
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Knowledge of Server Administration (Windows environment).
- Proficiency in development using Microsoft Access, MS SQL.
- Experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with the SCANTRON system will be an asset
- Experience with Moodle will be an asset
