Sun Island Jamaica Limited urgently seeks to identify a suitably qualified and highly competent person to fill the position of Social Media Coordinator.
Training & Core competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science or related discipline
- Certification or demonstrated competence in web development and content management
- Broad knowledge of the online shopping experience and competitive environment
- Expert knowledge of how to use and administer top social networks for businesses. (Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube etc.)
- Working knowledge of analytics tools such as Google Analytics
- Working knowledge of content management systems and basic HTML coding
Core responsibilities:
- To ensure proper functionality, effective and user friendly content; secure and professional presence of company web applications primarily of:
- Sun Island’s e-commerce web-site
- Integration of company shopping cart with IMPRESS software
- Corporate access to company brochures from web-site
- Intranet
- Ensure actions taken to improve the company’s search engine (SEO) ranking.
- Guide and execute strategies to drive customer awareness, engagement and sales growth through social media, and analytics for the company’s e-commerce website.
- Ensure sites are current and relevant with respect to the company’s business seasons, objectives and products.
