  • Previously programmed Microsoft Windows Forms (WF), Windows Presentation

  • With an appreciation for c# and Visual Studio 2013 
  • Exposure to Business Analysis techniques 
  • Appreciation of various document formats such as PDF / TIFF and their programmatic conversion / manipulation 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Excellent diagnostic/ troubleshooting skills 
  • Excellent documentation skills 
  • The ability to work well with a team

Job Vacancy: Systems Administrator, SRHA









The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) is a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health responsible for the management and operation of Public Health Services within the Parishes of Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth. The Authority invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the following position:

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR –SRHA-Regional Office

Reporting to the Director, Management Information System the incumbent will be responsible for the installation and management of all systems including PC/Server networks. Functions also include the responsibility for the general systems administration within the Regional Authority and its environs.

Specific Knowledge Required:

  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN/Internet Technology
  • Working knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments and administrative techniques
  • Working knowledge of network implementation & techniques
  • General UNIX/Linux  environment knowledge
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Training in the configuration & management of networks
  • Three (2) years experience in Systems Administration

A financial support services company located in Mandeville is offering the opportunity for three (3) Computer Science or Information Science majors (preferably final year) to demonstrate their competencies in internship positions by working on live market-ready projects in programming, web-development or graphic design.

Training & Core competencies:

Job Opportunity: Information Services Technician



Information Services Technician

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and suitably qualified Information Services Technician to join our Information Services team at Jamalco.

Under the direction of the Senior Local Area Network Coordinator, this position is accountable for:

  • Preparing personal computers for deployment to the workforce;
  • Installing software on personal computers as per license agreements;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving computer software and hardware issues; 
  • Monitoring computer spares and accessories to avoid stock outs;
  • Installing up-to-date virus definitions on personal computers;
  • Working cohesively with other members of the support group to address customer requests;
  • Providing backup for other infrastructure support personnel.


Qualifications & Experience
To be considered you must have:

  • A Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or related course with two years experience in a similar role;
  • Training in PC hardware and software components and network components at the tertiary level;
  • Working knowledge of the Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of business audit requirements for information systems would be definite assets;
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills to facilitate interaction with internal and external customers and other support organizations.
